IronBridge Markets Research Desk is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, including readers using assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of editorial quality rather than an afterthought.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML structure with one main heading per page and an ordered heading hierarchy.
  • Text and background colours chosen for sufficient contrast in both light and dark themes.
  • Visible focus outlines so keyboard users can always see their position.
  • A skip-to-content link at the start of every page.
  • Descriptive alternative text on images, and captions where an image carries meaning.
  • Navigation that works with a keyboard, including the menu and expandable FAQ items.
  • Responsive typography that remains readable when text is enlarged or on small screens.
  • Reduced-motion support: animations are suppressed when your system requests it.
  • A light and dark theme so readers can choose the more comfortable contrast.

Known limitations

Some decorative marble textures and the scrolling ticker strip are visual elements that convey no essential information; the ticker is labelled for screen readers and its content is duplicated in plain text where it matters. If you encounter an element that is difficult to use, that is a defect we want to fix.

Standards we aim for

We work toward the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria as a practical target. We do not claim formal certification or third-party audit.
